(Swatantra Sainik Samman Pension Scheme)

Eligibility Criteria under the State Government Pension Scheme are as under:

  • Direct Evidence: Certificate of imprisonment from the concerned jail authorities.

    OR

  • Indirect Evidence: Non-availibily of Record Certificate (NARC) from competent authority and co-prisoner's certificate from sitting/former MP/MLA.

    OR

    Non-availibily of Record Certificate (NARC) from competent authority and co-prisoner's certificate from two Freedom Fighters who themeselves had undergone one year imprisonment.

    OR

  • Underground Activities: Direct evidence of proclaimed as offender or announced an award an award for arrest or issued order of detention.

    OR

    Non-availibily of Record Certificate (NARC) from competent authority and certificate from freedom fighters who himself had undergone six months imprisonment and falling in the same administrative unit before Independence.

    OR

  • Other Sufferings: Person whose property was confiscated or attached and sold due to participation in freedom movement.

    OR

    Person who became permanently incapacitated during firing or lathi charge.

    OR

    Dependents of a Martyr.

Under the State Government Pension Scheme freedom fighters or their dependents get Rs. 5000/- per month at present.
